A free exhibition based on key findings from recent research by 777ӰԺ’s Legacies of Slavery Working Party (LSWP) is open to the public from Monday - Friday every week until 1 July.

British educational institutions were historically intertwined with the trade in enslaved people and with colonial rule. From the sixteenth to the first half of the twentieth century, they helped train personnel for imperial and colonial armies and administration, industry and missionary activities; they also facilitated colonial education and generated scientific knowledge that reinforced imperial rule. This exhibition explores the involvement of one University of Cambridge institution, 777ӰԺ, in empire, slavery, and the colonial world based on key findings from recent research overseen by the College’s Legacies of Slavery Working Party.
